Job Summary
Directly responsible for raising long term international investments capital of Equity, Debt, Platform Company Funding, Mezzanines, Mergers & Acquisitions, Grants, SPACs (USA) etc from qualifying developmental financing institutions “DFIs”, Hedge Funds, Private Equity Firms, Quasi-DFIs, Investment Banks, Large Corporates, Commercial Banks etc. Secondly, coordinating the management of the processes of deploying raised capital, as well revenues optimization strategies for the company’s operating subsidiaries, projects companies etc.
Other Responsibilities
- Develop Investment Grade Financial Models, as well as aligning Gas and Power (thermal and renewable) projects Tariff Models to meet the requirements of capital raising targets
- To secure new investment funding opportunities for the Company, subsidiaries and associated companies in Gas and Power related transactions, alongside Power and Infrastructure related ventures
- Preparing and delivering investments Information memorandums, Investment/Project Teasers, Feasibility Studies and Business Plans
- Lead and design viable financial and commercial structures for Mergers & Acquisitions transactions of the Company
- Design various investment strategy and structure which will enable the Company to raise new capital, as well as leverage on existing businesses to raise additional capital for the Company
- Direct supervision and monitoring of projects and investments for successful implementations evidenced by commencement of commercial operations of projects and investments
- Engage Investors, Development and Commercial Institutions etc. across the globe, with a view of raising funds as needed across the various businesses of the Group
- Source and secure Grants for qualifying projects and businesses of the Company
- Lead, train and mentor investment team and staff of the Company for higher productivities in their respective roles
- Establish and nourish new strategic partnerships and business relations with private and government sectors, as well as sustain existing ones
- Optimize existing debt capital through re-financing mechanism, Stock Markets listing, partial or full divestments etc.
- Manage, develop and leverage on strategic business relationships in order to secure profitable and bankable transactions on investments and projects for the benefit of the Company
- Lead the negotiation of investment and financing contracts from conception to financial closures
Education, Qualifications and Expertise:
- A Undergraduate degree and MBA from reputable international institution
- Over 10years experience in the investment and infrastructure financing institutions, 5 years of which must be in senior management roles
- Knowledge of corporate finance and investment banking
- Negotiation and analytical skills
- Knowledge of equity, debt, mezzanine, grants etc
- Knowledge of the capital markets
- Knowledge of the energy and power Industry
- Risk management experience
